RILEM Membership – Reduced Fee Structure

Dear current & prospective RILEM Members,
Thank you for your support for the success of various online programmes we conducted in 2020. Also, with
the new members who joined in 2020, India enjoys the 2 position worldwide in terms of RILEM membership.

Anticipating relief from the pandemic, RILEM is planning various online and in-person programmes in 2021.

There is great news regarding membership fees - RILEM has reduced the annual membership fee for young
members. The new fee structure for India (after 60% discount) is as follows.
• Young Member (age less than 35 years): € 10 (₹ 885 approx.)
• Senior Member: € 150 (₹ 13,300 approx.)
• Retired Member: € 30 (₹ 2,660 approx.)
• Institutional Member (with unlimited staff members): € 882 (₹. 78,165 approx.)
• Industrial Member (with unlimited staff members): € 1,620 (₹. 143,570 approx.)
• Associate Member (with 3 staff & 1 associate): € 466 (₹. 41,300 approx.)

great success, attended by more than 700 registered participants

inclusive, and resilient urbanisation in Africa
South Asia Representative in the RILEM Youth Council (RYC)
Dr Surender Singh has been elected as the Vice-Chair of the newly established RILEM Youth Council.
Surender, representing the South Asia regional area, is one of the 11 young researchers from around the
world who are members of this Council. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering,
at Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai, India. His research interests are pavement material
characterization, valorization of recycled materials, and cement concrete pavement. Currently, he is an
executive committee member of the Indian Concrete Institute Chennai center, and one of the Topic Editors
for a special issue on recycling for the Journal of Frontiers in Built Environment.
