A. GHANI RAZAQPUR is Chair Professor in Nankai University, Tianjin, China. He taught at
Carleton and McMaster universities in Canada from 1983 to 2017. He is fellow of the Canadian Academy of
Engineering, former president of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) and former associate
editor of Journal of Cement and Concrete Composites. He chairs the technical committee of the Canadian
Standard CSA S806, which deals with FRP composites in construction. His research interests are concrete
durability, FRP in construction, blast resistant design and the finite element method. He has published
over 200 papers and is recipient of the CSCE A.B. Sanderson Award and Leipholz Medal for outstanding
contributions to structural engineering and engineering mechanics. Email: razaqpu@mcmaster.ca
CLINTON D’SOUZA is a licensed structural engineer in Ontario, Canada and a certified building
façade specialist at the Flynn Group of Companies in Toronto, Canada. He obtained his B.Sc. in civil
engineering from Carleton University in Ottawa, and his M.A.Sc. in structural engineering from McMaster
University in Hamilton, Ontario. His research interests are reinforced concrete design and retrofit, with special
focus on FRP applications for retrofitting of deficient concrete structures. Email: dsouzact@mcmaster.ca
